It was showed also how much attention the media had paid to cover the practices of charity and volunteers, what themes dominated and what special features of editorial policy and layout of news on TV channels were.
Project Coordinator, PhD on Social Communications Lesya Yaroshenko demonstrated the examples of successful cooperation in communities through TV programs and online broadcasting together the organizers of large-scale charity auction “7 minutes for life” in Kyiv (managed by The Open Hearts Foundation) and the annual charity ball in Kharkiv (Kharkiv Regional Charitable Foundation "Social Assistance Service"). During the discussion there were questions about the charitable component of the actions covered and the mechanics of their implementation.
Participants from Lviv were invited for cooperation: to inform about new models of self-organization which are covered in mass media, to analyze the success stories and mistakes in order to practice them into other regions.
The event in the framework of the conference on socially responsible business (Lvivkholod Ltd, Pharmacies Marketing Network Department “DS”, Private Joint Stock Company “Company Enzim” etc) made it possible to bring to the discussion a significant amount of local businessmen of all levels, whom it is usually difficult to include into the work of dialogue groups. The public representatives had direct communication with the representatives of businesses and received the advices on how effectively to propose them the social projects. Non-governmental sector, local and regional authorities, mass media and business highlighted the most current models of cooperation in terms of military conflict and socio-economic problems.
